About the Driver Efficiency Dashboard

The Driver Efficiency Dashboard helps you understand how your drivers are performing based on fuel usage, distance travelled, fuel cost, and overall efficiency. It gives you a clear view of your best-performing drivers, possible problem areas, and drivers that may need coaching, review, or further investigation.

What this dashboard is for

This dashboard is designed to help clients measure and compare driver fuel performance in a practical and simple way. Instead of looking through raw fuel transactions one by one, the dashboard turns your data into meaningful rankings, alerts, charts, and summaries.

It is especially useful for:

  • Identifying fuel-efficient drivers
  • Finding drivers with unusually high fuel consumption
  • Spotting possible data anomalies or low-confidence records
  • Comparing drivers fairly using fills, kilometres travelled, cost per kilometre, and km per litre
  • Helping management make better fleet and driver decisions

Filter Section

The filters allow you to narrow the data and improve the quality of the results.

  • Search Driver: Find a specific driver by name
  • Minimum Fills: Exclude drivers with too few refuels
  • Minimum KM: Exclude drivers with too little distance travelled
  • Ranking Mode: Change how the leaderboard ranks drivers

KPI Summary Cards

At the top of the dashboard, you will see summary cards showing the total distance travelled, total fuel used, total fuel cost, and average km per litre for the filtered dataset.

These cards give you a quick high-level summary of the current drivers being displayed after your filters have been applied.

How the ranking works

The dashboard can rank drivers in different ways:

  • Weighted Score: A combined score based on fuel efficiency, cost efficiency, and distance travelled
  • KM per Litre: Ranks drivers by fuel economy
  • Cost per KM: Ranks drivers by operating cost efficiency

Weighted Score is useful when you want a more balanced ranking, because it does not only look at one number. It considers efficiency, cost, and sample size together.

Top 10 Driver Leaderboard

This section shows the best-performing drivers based on the ranking mode you selected.

For each driver, you can see:

  • Rank
  • Driver name
  • Performance band
  • KM per litre
  • Cost per kilometre
  • Number of fills
  • Total kilometres
  • Score

Performance Bands

Each driver is placed into a band to help you interpret performance faster:

  • Fuel Saver Elite: Strong fuel efficiency and clean data
  • Average Efficiency: Acceptable or normal performance
  • High Consumption Risk: Higher fuel usage and possible concern
  • Excluded / Anomaly: Records that may not be reliable or need review

Alert Center

The Alert Center highlights drivers that may need attention. These alerts are there to help you focus quickly on records that may be unusual, incomplete, or inefficient.

Examples of alerts include:

  • Low fill count
  • Low mileage sample
  • Possible efficiency anomaly
  • Very high cost per km
  • Very low km per litre

An alert does not always mean something is wrong. It means that the driver or data should be reviewed more closely.

Top Drivers by KM/L Chart

This chart shows the best fuel-efficiency performers among the filtered drivers. It is useful for quickly identifying your strongest drivers from a fuel-economy point of view.

Lowest Efficiency Drivers Chart

This chart highlights the drivers with the weakest fuel-efficiency results. These are usually the first drivers to review for training, route analysis, vehicle issues, or operational misuse.

Efficiency vs Cost Scatter Chart

This chart helps you spot outliers by showing the relationship between km per litre and cost per kilometre. A driver that sits far outside the normal pattern may require further review.

Performance Distribution Chart

This chart shows how your drivers are distributed across the different performance bands. It gives management a quick overview of how healthy or risky the overall driver base is.

All Drivers Detail Table

The detail table contains the full ranked dataset and is useful for audits, management reviews, and client reporting. It gives a full breakdown of each driver’s numbers in one place.

This section is ideal when you want to move from a quick visual summary into a more detailed review.

How to use this dashboard properly

  • Start by reviewing the KPI cards to understand the overall picture
  • Use the filters to improve the quality of the dataset
  • Check the Top 10 Leaderboard to identify your best drivers
  • Review the Alert Center for possible concerns or anomalies
  • Use the charts to spot trends and outliers visually
  • Use the detail table when you need a deeper driver-by-driver review

Important note

Driver performance should always be interpreted together with vehicle type, route conditions, operating environment, and load profile. The dashboard is a powerful decision-support tool, but it should be used together with operational knowledge.

In simple terms: this dashboard helps you ask the right questions faster.
